RFL Prom & New Items

In case you haven’t heard, Designer in Seclusion Relay for Life Team is holding a Prom and Prom Crashers Party this weekend coming up. On Saturday, May 17 from 3pm to 7pm SLT & Sunday May 18 from 5pm to 9pm SLT the parties will be held at Skin City (99, 105, 586). The party will encompass 4 island with dancing, live music, and Djs. Be sure to bid on the crowns for Prom King, Prom Queen, Prom Crasher King, and Prom Crasher Queen. The highest bid wins with all the proceeds going to Relay for Life.

I made 2 new RFL dresses for the Prom and Prom Crasher minded. They are each $100L at the Granymyr location.

Nolo Pasaro Avatar - $1L

I have just released another $1L full avatar inspired by the recent exposure to the fandom subculture of Second Life. This avatar is also based on a character in one of my son’s favorite movie series, Hot Wheels(AcceleRacers). This is his favorite character in the entire series. Nolo Pasaro Avatar is on the second floor at at the Granymyr location.

Who is Nolo Pasaro?

Nolo Pasaro is a character from the Hot Wheels’ movies. He first appears in Ignition as the leader of the Teku. He took over as leader after his brother, Tone, was killed during a race against Tork, leader of the Metal Maniacs. He wear a pendant of a broken T that was his brothers. Although it has been established that Tone’s crash was his own fault, Nolo blames Tork for his brother’s death.

His team ended up racing in the realms from Dr. Tezla’s Acceledrome when the robot, Gig, came to find racers from the World Race to help Dr. Tezla. His teammates, Kurt Wylde and Vert Wheeler, both participated in the World Race with Vert being the winner. Nolo has a good relationship with Lani Tam, Dr. Tezla assistant, but at times, he allows his hostility towards Tork cloud his judgment.

Lani Tam Avatar - $1L

I have just released a $1L full avatar inspired by the recent exposure to the fandom subculture of Second Life. This avatar is based on a character in one of my son’s favorite movie series, Hot Wheels(AcceleRacers). Laynie Link helped me with the overalls. Lani Tam Avatar is on the second floor at at the Granymyr location.

Who is Lani Tam?

Lani Tam is a character from the Hot Wheels’ movies. She first appears in World Race as a racer for the Wave Rippers team. During this time she had a brief romance with a member of a rival team, Taro Kitano of the Scorchers. The person backing the World Race is Dr. Tezla. The history given for her is that she grew up around street racers in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Lani appears in the AcceleRacer movies as Dr. Tezla’s assistant and her romance with Taro has ended. He says it is because he is hard to talk to. Lani’s duties include being a crew chief, medic and mechanic at the Acceledrome. Lani has a good relationship with the leader of the Teku, Nolo Pasaro. The chief mechanic for the Metal Maniac, Monkey(Mitchell McClurg), has a crush on Lani to the point of dreaming about her when he sleeps.

Club Mosh Fairy

I made a new fairy. This fairy is very special and she is FREE and you can only get her at the NazB concert at Club Mosh today. Club Mosh is part of the Grid Life. The performance is free and there are 2 concert times to pick from: 11 AM or 2 PM SLT.

The Club Mosh Fairy comes with top(3 layers), panties(2 layers), skirt, prim skirt(pelvis or stomach attachments), wings, ballet flats, special edition Fallow skin, golden eyes, Maria shape, and simple bun hair in 3 Club Mosh colors. The colors for the entire avatar come from the Club Mosh logo.

How Could I Refuse?

When Sasy asked me to help The Wheelies, how could I refuse? A while back, I had stumbled upon the video on YouTube by The Wheelie’s founder, Simon Walsh, and was touched by what he does for our community. I hope that many other designers step up and help this wonderful group.

There is a Wheelie edition of the Ann Gown at the Granymyr and Kidd locations. The cost of the gown is $100L and 100% of the proceeds goes to The Wheelies.

Ballet Flats

I was experimenting with sculptie. The results are a pair of basic ballet flats in black for $1L at the Granymyr location.

I also made a pair to match the dresses I have in the Red Stick International Animation Festival hunt that can be picked up on the stage at that location.

Red Stick Begins in the Real World

Today is the official opening of the Red Stick International Animation Festival in Baton Rouge, LA. If you are in the area, stop by and say hello to Laynie Link. She and her family will be there volunteering. I know she was working at the registration booth this morning but I am not sure what areas they are helping out at.

The Red Stick Party was a Hit

The Red Stick Party was a hit. How do I know? When Paris Hilton and Britney Spears(Big Gulp included) take time out of their busy schedules to make an appearance you know you have a hit on your hands.
